Limestone Country
I live in what must be the most Westerly village in North Yorkshire ‘Burton-in-Lonsdale’. Sixteen miles West over into Lancashire is Morecambe Bay and thirty minutes drive North West The Lake District National Park. However, my luck is that I live within the environs of the Three Peaks – Ingleborough, Whernside and Penyghent – to geologists the area of the Craven Fault – to me Limestone Country.

The subjects in this gallery are incomplete and likely to be inexhaustible – since during my regular wandering in the hills I continually discover new subjects for investigation. The collection which I began late summer 2009 is, I hope, the beginning of a fruitful re-acquaintance with my original love of painting.
